Book Review: "The Unknown Lives" by Pankaz & Manoz is a collection of 14 short letters from individuals written during life's most uncertain moments. At times when life seems to be the most meaningful to us, we run short on time as realization can often cloud the truth. Yet letters seem to be the most helpful of instruments to pen down our thoughts despite having technology like fax or telegram in the past, or phones at present.

The pages of this short book are filled with 14 heart-touching letters. They speak of love, repentance, longing, wishes, desire, helplessness, courage, enthusiasm and even death. We see letters from a husband to his wife, a father to his son and vice versa, a murderer to his family, a sinner to his onlooker, a mother to her daughter and vice versa, and a coach to his athlete student, to name a few. What gives meaning to these letters and sets them apart is the realistic feelings associated with each one of them. We cannot come to a conclusion regarding whether these letters were delivered or not, or even if it had been, then how would the receiver had responded to such honest confessions.

This short read will appeal to a lot of readers looking to find inspiration and meaning in between pages. While some letters speak of tragedy, others are surely filled with life lessons worth implementing. The overall concept of this book deserves appreciation since the authors have been successful in creating an aura of peace and tranquility by bringing forth letters which carry some level of hope for everyone who reads them.
