Book Review: "42 Days Of Love" by Vikas Trivedi & Smita Agarwal is an adventure thriller based on a treasure hunt deep inside the depths of ocean waters. It is a marvelous attempt at uncovering what really goes behind an expedition as interesting as finding a treasure. A detailed description of the types of equipment, machines, and transport arrangements make this well-researched plot an interesting read. The level of expertise required along with teamwork and cooperation underlying a feeling of trust is what determines the success of such missions.

Donna, the protagonist of the story, has had an abusive childhood. It gave her all the more reason to make a mark in life through the thing she loved most - deep-sea diving. Therefore, later in life, she embarks on a mission to find a lost treasure along with four brilliant associates. The hunt leads them near North Sentinel Island in the Bay of Bengal where an age-old treasure belonging to the Nizam from India is buried deep inside the sea. The mission starts aboard a 1940s submarine and the readers are thrilled to turn the pages. Will the team find the treasure? Are they safe inside uncharted waters? Does danger await them near the unknown island? Is there a mole in the team? Does all of them survive the ordeal?

This book will appeal to a lot of adventure lovers and ocean lovers since adequate research has been done by the authors to explain in detail life underwater as well as the techniques used. The events in this plot span 42 days and each day begins with new adventures. In the end, we are probably almost quite familiar with the team and every little misfortune or happiness will affect us greatly. Despite the odds, the story has a wonderful ending as readers await the next part soon.
