Book Review: "Done With Her..." by Chirasree Bose is a romance thriller. A story is woven around past incidents that take shape in the present to decide the fate of the protagonists. While some may easily conclude it as a tale dipped in revenge, but the author has actually tried to convey empowerment and justice throughout the chapters. There are adequate twists and turns which will keep you hooked inside the book till the end. It is a short read which can be finished within an hour.

The narration begins with an atmosphere of foreshadowing. Avesh, a techie, stumbles upon Spreeha in his office who bears a striking resemblance with a girl from his past, a dark past shared with his best mates too. A past, should it deserve justice, carrying the penalty of death. We immediately know that something is wrong or that something bad is going to happen after reading the first few chapters. The question then is, what exactly is wrong and who will pay the price? There is an encounter between themes of love, lust, and longing as we turn the pages. The atmosphere is gloomy and the author could have used many locations to ease the tension a little bit but the events mainly take place inside rooms. However, that should not deter the interest of readers into finishing the story as the incidents leading to the climax and the conclusion have been well built and craftily interwoven.

This story will appeal to a lot of people who enjoy crime fiction in love, detective thrillers or a twist-in-the-end type short reads. There are ample resources to make you believe in what the author has tried to convey through her story - the power of love, the importance of believing in oneself, and the road to justice through empowerment of mind, body, and soul.
